The version of Norton Removal Tool that you are using is expired.

When attempting to run Symantec Norton Removal Tool, you may encounter the error message: "The version of Norton Removal Tool that you are using is expired."  This message is normally displayed when the Norton Removal Tool has expired and should be replaced with the latest version of the Norton Removal Tool.

However, this error message can be displayed when the version of Norton Removal Tool that you are using is in fact the current version of the Removal Tool.  To resolve this issue, please perform the following steps:
  1. Click Start - Run.

  2. Type: regedit

  3. Click OK.

  5. Delete the SymNRT registry key.

  6. Reboot the computer.
The Norton Removal Tool will now work properly.  This issue has been resolved.
