Error synchronizing folder [80004005-501-4B9-560]

When using Microsoft Outlook with Microsoft Exchange, you may encounter the following error message:

Error synchronizing folder
The client operation failed.
Microsoft Exchange Information Store

Your existing PST file has become corrupted.  To resolve this issue, you will have to export your mail profile from within Microsoft Outlook to a backup PST file. Once you are confident that you have exported all of your mail to the backup PST file, you will then delete your mail profile from within the Start - Control Panel - Mail Control Panel. Then open Microsoft Outlook to create a new mail profile and import your backup PST file into your new mail profile. Microsoft Outlook will then return to functioning properly.
